Who Are the New DLC Characters in Fatal Fury City of the Wolves Season 3?

The upcoming season pass features a mix of returning fan favorites and historic deep cuts designed to challenge top tier players. SNK is deploying a monthly release cadence throughout the rest of the year to keep the South Town competitive scene evolving rapidly.

The confirmed character roadmap includes the following fighters:

• Rick Strowd (July 23, 2026): The celebrated Native American light-weight boxer who first made his grand debut in the 1998 arcade classic Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers.
• Duck King (August 2026): One of the most highly anticipated legacy returns requested by the community. He brings back his rhythmic, breakdance-inspired fighting style that has been absent from the mainline series for decades.
• Kim Kaphwan (September 2026): A legendary taekwondo master and an absolute pillar of the company’s historical arcade crossover roster.
• Laocorn Gaudeamus (November 2026): A monumental addition for SNK historians. Originally appearing as the exclusive anime antagonist in the 1994 animated feature Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture, this marks his first playable debut in a mainline video game.

Additionally, the developers have teased two unannounced mystery fighters scheduled to round out the season in October and December respectively.

What Gameplay Styles and Features Are Coming to South Town?

The introduction of these diverse archetypes is set to significantly shake up the meta. Boxer Rick Strowd relies heavily on blinding speed, close-range pressure, and creating sudden vacuum air currents with his lightning-fast punching combinations. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Duck King uses unpredictable, dance-fueled movement vectors to confuse opponents, while Kim Kaphwan commands the screen with devastating aerial taekwondo kicks.

Laocorn Gaudeamus introduces a completely unique dynamic to the roster. Since he is built from scratch for the fighting game systems of City of the Wolves, his kit incorporates powerful energy projection attacks, spatial translocation abilities, and ghostly astral limbs derived from the mystical Armor of Mars lore.

How Can Players Access the New Season 3 Content?

Players looking to jump straight into the action can find the game listed across major modern digital storefronts. The base experience can be acquired through the PlayStation Store for console players, the Microsoft Marketplace for Xbox enthusiasts, and the digital storefront on Steam for PC users.

For the ultimate experience, SNK has introduced the digital Revenge Edition bundle. This comprehensive package includes the base game along with Season Passes 1, 2, and the brand-new Season 3 roster out of the box, giving competitive players immediate access to crossover guest characters like Kenshiro alongside the newly announced South Town brawlers.
