When Is the Kingdom Hearts IV Release Date?
Square Enix has officially locked in late 2027 as the firm launch target for Kingdom Hearts IV across modern console hardware and PC platforms. Addressing recent community speculation regarding possible production setbacks, co-director Tai Yasue offered total assurance about the team’s internal pipeline during a recent panel:
“I can confidently say, and promise you, that it will launch in 2027. In terms of the timeline, development is going very well. We’re not at 80% or 90%, we’re at 100%. So, we will be there in 2027, without a doubt. I promise you that.”
Series creator and co-director Tetsuya Nomura echoed those sentiments, taking aim at rumors circulating across social media regarding potential delays:
“We announced that the game will arrive at the end of 2027, and I saw some people online saying that perhaps the release date could be delayed again. I just wanted to clarify that this will not happen. We will release the game in 2027.”
