What Is the Plot of Noa Is My Senior, and My Friend?
The narrative of Noa-senpai wa Tomodachi centers on Rihito Ōtsuka, a laid-back young man employed at a video game company. Rihito prefers to lead an effortless, low-energy life, treating his job simply as a means to fund his private hobbies.
His superior is Noa Saotome, a brilliant and highly respected art director. Noa is admired by her subordinates and completely trusted by upper management, portraying the ultimate image of an independent, cool, and collected career woman.
Everything changes when Rihito accidentally discovers Noa’s carefully guarded secret: outside of office hours, she is emotionally volatile, deeply lonely, and prone to dramatic outbursts after drinking. Following a raw, alcohol-fueled breakdown over a recent breakup, Noa latch-keys onto Rihito. This spark initiates a unique after-hours friendship where the strict boundaries of workplace hierarchy dissolve into a highly chaotic, secret companionship.
