The story follows Eliane, a dedicated young woman who has served as the divine saint and spiritual protector of the Kingdom of Belkheim since childhood. Through her constant prayers, she wards off bloodthirsty monsters and grants her homeland plentiful harvests.
Everything shatters when a scheming rival deceives the naive Prince Claude, who happens to be Eliane’s unfaithful fiancé. Driven by deceit, the prince publicly accuses Eliane of being a fraudulent impostor, breaks off their engagement, and banishes her from the realm entirely.
Rather than succumbing to despair, Eliane embraces her newfound freedom. Homeless and penniless for the first time, she sets out toward a neighboring kingdom in hopes of blending in as an ordinary commoner. However, an unexpected encounter with Nigel, a noble prince from the neighboring country of Linchigham, turns her peaceful retirement plans upside down. Meanwhile, without Eliane’s divine protection, the Kingdom of Belkheim quickly discovers the devastating cost of their foolishness.
