The series takes place in a world devastated by the Shadow Labyrinth, a catastrophic existential threat that wiped out most of humanity. After a desperate final stand by the last six surviving heroes ends in tragic failure, powerful mage Desir Herman unexpectedly finds his consciousness sent back 13 years into the past.

Waking up during his entrance exam at the prestigious Hebrion Academy, Desir retains full memories of the apocalyptic future.
