What Is the Plot of This Is the End Stagnation Committee?
The story presents a world where the apocalypse is already happening in secret, even though the vast majority of normal citizens remain blissfully unaware. Terrifying monsters lurk beneath Lake Shinobazu in Tokyo, a massive cosmic snail rests atop the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and a demon lord resembling a young girl wanders the streets.
Operating within society’s shadow, a secret group of high school boys and girls known as the Stagnation Committee takes up arms to combat these supernatural threats. They cannot permanently stop or cancel the world’s destruction, they can only delay and postpone it day by day. Despite the endless crisis, the young fighters do not despair. For them, waging war against cosmic horrors is simply a daily ritual and an energetic youth festival.
